Dottie Barkac

Dottie Barkac was raised in Tempe Arizona and moved to Montana in January of 1979 with her son, Bart Barkac. In 1985 a back injury called for a new line of work. Broadcasting was suggested so off she went to the May School of Broadcasting. She graduated in 1987 as Valedictorian with a certificate in Radio and Television Broadcasting. Shortly after graduation she went to work as a master control operator and technical director for KTVQ-2 television. She remained there for 18 years before taking a full time position for Northern Broadcasting System in March of 2005.

Dottie’s son is her “Claim to Fame”. Bart Barkac is the renowned drummer for Faith Chapel. He and his wife Jenny live in Billings with their three children, Marcus, McKenna and Kaleb.

She lives in Billings with her husband, Tim, a professional bass player and receiving clerk for All American Pharmaceutical. They share their home with a Yorkshire terrier, a Missouri foxtrotter and a Nubian goat.
