An upcoming bus tour of Laramie and Centennial, Wyo., will showcase how Wyoming agriculture producers are using innovative ideas to add value to their operations from guest ranch services, hunting business, all-natural grass-fed beef and lamb to chemical free produce. 

The 10th Annual Diversified Ag Tour, sponsored by the Wyoming Business Council and Wyoming Women in Ag, will be held June 19 beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Wyoming Territorial Prison in Laramie, Wyo. 

The tour is open to the public and includes local transportation as well as morning and afternoon refreshments and lunch.  Cost to participate is $25 before June 12 and $35 after.  Space is limited and pre-registration is required. 

This year’s schedule includes:

·        Vee Bar Guest Ranch - Activities on this family guest ranch range from horseback riding to evenings gathered around a campfire. The Cole family own and operate the dude ranch, as well as the Deerwood cattle ranch, located approximately 10 miles south of the Vee Bar. www.veebar.com

·        Hecht Creek Ranch - A working cattle ranch nestled in the Centennial Valley against the backdrop of Sheep Mountain, the Hecht Creek Ranch is the Sigel family’s cattle, grass fed beef and hunting business. Headed by Art Sigel and run with the help of his sons, Ed and Matt, the ranch is home to three families who work and reside on the property year round. www.hechtcreekranch.com

·        Tronstad Ranch - The Tronstad family, Bryan, Lusha and their children, own and operate the Tronstad Ranch. They sell all natural grass-feed lamb and grow chemical-free produce in their high tunnel, which is marketed at the Laramie Farmers Market. In addition, they sell handspun and hand-painted yarn.  They also have a few chickens and sell eggs locally.  www.tronstadranch.webs.com

·        Wheels of Inspiration - During the bus ride from Laramie to Centennial and back, hear business practices from Albany County producers and value-added food companies.  

·        Wyoming Territorial Prison - Registrants will have a chance view the Science of the Range exhibit and look around the gift shop at the Wyoming Territorial Prison, which was built in 1872. The Prison was restored and renovated in the 1990s.  www.wyomingterritorialprison.com
