In the early days of Montana, first things came first. A cowboy takes time out to feed his colt as his horse and a woman friend looked on. Noted Montana frontier photographer L.A. Huffman left a complete record of real cowboy life in Montana in his major photograph collection in the Montana Historical Society Research Center.
