BACK TO SCHOOL – WAY BACK TO SCHOOL

For those too young to remember such things, the round thing at the front of the classroom is a globe. To “google” it to locate a place on earth, you simply gave it a spin. (This photo was taken in March, 1914, in the town of Marsh located east of Fallon in southern Dawson County.) Those were the days when the students had to dust out the erasers for the chalkboard and bring in fire wood to stay warm.
