As President Obama continues to promote his Great Outdoors Initiative, many in our region are left to wonder if this is a prelude to future national monument designations.
Last week Russell Nemetz asked Senator Max Baucus what he thought of any president using the Antiquities Act in the waning hours of their presidency to declare national monuments.
While visiting the Northern Broadcasting System studios, Baucus gave this answer.
