Beef Industry Military Appreciation Day set for July 21 at State Fair
The North Dakota Beef Commission, the North Dakota Stockmen's Association, the North Dakota CattleWomen, the North Dakota Soybean Council and the North Dakota Corn Growers will team up to salute active duty military personnel and their families during the 11th Annual Beef Industry Military Appreciation Day at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot, N.D. NDSA President and Bowman, N.D., rancher Steve Brooks said, “These brave people make sacrifices to serve our country. This is a way for North Dakota ranchers to show their appreciation.”
The free beef meal will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT (or until the food runs out) on Tuesday, July 21, near the Commercial II Exhibit Building on the State Fairgrounds. Additionally, the event will include children's activities, face painting, roping lessons and doorprize drawings. Attendees may enjoy free carnival rides from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (with a military ID), and more discounts for military members. For discount details and coupons, visit www.ndstatefair.com.
More than 1,600 servicemen and women and their family members were honored during the Beef Industry event last year. “We're blessed to have so many willing to defend us and this great nation we live in,” said Clark Price, North Dakota Beef Commission chairman, a rancher from Hensler, N.D.
