This past Saturday night Taylor Brown spoke in Stevensville to the annual meeting of the Bitterroot Stockgrowers, and he said it was a huge event with around 200 people attending.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of their 6th annual Service Award for “Lifetime Commitment to the Livestock Industry”.
That presentation was made to “Babe” Ruffato, one of the real gems of our business! Babe and her late husband George raised their children, Carol, and Tom, and Chris Ruffato, on Bass Creek where they still ranch today.
Babe and George combined two pioneer Italian families to build one of the most respected cattle operations in western Montana. You may remember that in 1994 they won the Montana Environmental Stewardship Award.
Congratulations to Babe Ruffato and her sons Tom and Chris for “Lifetime Commitment” to the Livestock Industry there in the Bitterroot!
