Great Falls – The 2015 Cascade County 4-H Livestock Show and Sale is slated for July 10-12 at the Montana ExpoPark’s Livestock Pavilion in Great Falls, MT. 4-H members will show and sell their market animal projects. Market animal projects include cattle, goats, sheep, and swine. Other classes will include rabbits, poultry, supreme breeding female, and breeding projects.

“4-H members enrolled in animal projects work diligently to prepare for the Cascade County 4-H Livestock Show and Sale” said Jill Mackey, Cascade County 4-H Livestock Leader. “The 4-H members spend countless hours with their animal to provide a safe, wholesome product for their customers.”

“The livestock projects are a business for the 4-H members. They keep complete records of their projects and many save money for college.” said Melanie Paul, Cascade County 4-H Livestock Leader.

Animals will move into the Livestock Pavilion on June 10 and will be weighed and have a veterinarian inspection that evening. Market animal, rabbit, and poultry classes will begin at 9:00 a.m. on July 11. Supreme female classes will be at 1:00 p.m. as well. The sale preview and buyer registration will begin at 2:30 p.m. on July 11 with the sale beginning at 4:00 p.m. A complementary meal catered by Big Mouth BBQ will be provided for registered buyers. Showmanship classes, breeding interviews, and the round robin contest will be on Sunday, July 12. An award ceremony will wrap up the county livestock show.
