During the Livestock sale at the Hardee County fair in Wauchula, Florida, something very special happened. This was no ordinary livestock sale. According to Fox13 News (http://bit.ly/1TresNF) when 11 year old Heath Hendry walked into the sale ring with his hog, the whole room initially went completely silent. Earlier that week, Heath's mother, an elementary teacher and a single mom, had died suddenly of a heart attack.
In a show of support, community came together to purchase Health pig, which ended up selling for $170 dollars a pound and raised $47,000!
According to reports, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Hats off to this great community!
