We have many people with boots, hats and farmer tans in Washington, D.C. this week as the National Farmers Union kicked off their legislative fly-in on Monday. They’ll be visiting with policy makers through Wednesday. In addition to farm bill priorities, fly-in participants will discuss the need to ensure a competitive marketplace, show support for food and agriculture sales to Cuba and discuss solutions to climate and energy challenges.
The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association kicked off their legislative conference in D.C. on Tuesday and will stay in our nation’s capital through Thursday. Talking points for the group will do doubt focus on the estate tax, dust regulation and trade.
