Variable weather and drought are some of the most challenging aspects of profitable ranching. One Montana and the USDA Northern Plains Climate Hub are teaming up to host a series of workshops on drought-resilient ranching which will cover:
1) Best Practices for drought management
2) Flexible stock to adapt to variable weather and drought conditions
3) Mesonet soil moisture and climate stations
Each workshop will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include cafe-style discussion, presentations from researchers, and Q&A. Lunch will be provided.
