Fourth Graders Learn about Agriculture at the NILE

by
Billings, MT–Students in fourth grade from all over Yellowstone County come to the NILE to learn about agriculture Oct. 12-14.
As part of the NILE's mission, the fourth grade ag education program offers youth hands on experiences increasing their awareness of many ag production practices.
The field trip encompasses many facets of agriculture by rotating groups through stations that range from beef to bees. Engaging presentations from Yellowstone County 4-H, Montana State Extension, Yellowstone County Conservation District and other groupsmake the gap from farm to food a little less.

The NILE's Fourth Grade Ag Education program reaches 1,600 to 2,200 students each year over the three days. All schools in Yellowstone County are encouraged to participate.
