With a court hearing set for this Wednesday afternoon in Chinook to discuss the relocation of bison to the Fort Peck Reservation from the Corwin Springs facility, national news coverage is starting to kick in over Montana’s controversy.
After taking a trip to the area, Fox News ran a story yesterday about the controversy with placement of the animals. Much focus is given to the historic quality of the bison and, while they do talk to a tribal member and a rancher, one key aspect of this story is missing. Nothing is mentioned about Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks or Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer and how the movement took place. Also absent from the conversation is the call for the governor’s impeachment.

Wednesday’s court hearing will begin at 10 o’clock a.m. at the Blaine County Courthouse in Chinook, MT. The expected length of the hearing is four hours.
