For twenty-three years Al Sandvold put his life on the line to protect bull riders in the rodeo arena. In those two decades, Al worked PRCA Rodeos in Red Lodge, Ellensburg, Rapid City and Lewiston to name a few. He had the privilege to work the Colligate National Finals Rodeo and the Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit Finals for 10 years.
In that time, Al Sandvold found himself making his fellow friends in rodeo look sharp by giving them a trim and cutting their hair. That hobby of giving free trims after fighting bulls has now turned into a new career path. Al retired last year at the 2016 Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit Finals. Most recently, Al completed Barber School in Salt Lake City and is open for business. The Northern Ag Networks Lane Nordlund reports from Max and LD’s Old Time Barber Shope and Hot Shaves
