BILLINGS, MT (January 10, 2017) – Herbicide resistant weeds is a growing problem for farmers in the Northern Plains. That’s why organizers of the Montana and Wyoming Malt Barley and Sugarbeet Symposium in Billings, MT this week wanted to share the latest technology in detecting them and offering solutions on how to manage them.

Dr. Prashant Jha is a Research Weed Scientist at the Montana State University Southern Ag Research Center near Huntley, MT and talked with growers about “Advanced Optics to Detect Herbicide Resistant Weeds in – Crop and Precision Weed Control”.

At the symposium, Prashant talked with the Northern Ag Network’s Russell Nemetz about his latest research.
