Great Falls, MT – Montana Grain Growers Association wrapped up their 70th Annual Convention and Trade Show this week. The annual convention is where members discuss and approve the policy platform that guides the organization on issues impacting the ag industry.
This year, Convention Chair Steve Sheffels led the charge for the convention at the Pacific Steel & Recycling Arena at the Montana ExpoPark in Great Falls. Speakers presented on market outlooks, geopolitical perspectives, 1031 exchanges, and mental health. The tradeshow hosted over 110 exhibitors, farm equipment inside and outside the venue with over 900 attendees.
Members passed policy for the upcoming year with over 20 new resolutions. Members discussed issues ranging from base acres, undesirable plants, disaster assistance programs, transportation and taxes. Thursday the board approved the 2025 – 2026 leadership team. Steve Sheffels from Great Falls will serve as President, Dale Flikkema from Bozeman will serve as Vice President, Paul Bradley from Garneill will serve as Treasurer and Trevor Schock from Vida will serve as the Secretary. Klayton Lohr from Shelby, will serve as Past President.
