While folks in northeastern Montana are seeing snow on top of their flood waters today, residents have been forming their own type of traffic jams in order to check out the water that is spilling over the banks of the Milk River. These photos, from the National Weather Service in Glasgow, show what the river looked like in 2007 and what it looks like here in 2011.
This photo, taken by Dick Britzman just outside of Glasgow, shows Toby and Macy Klind’s now beach-front property! Notice the tree line on the banks of the Milk River in the background. The little white blob in the middle is the roof of one of the outbuildings in their yard.
