BILLINGS, MT (November 15, 2016) – During its 97th Annual Meeting, the Montana Farm Bureau Federation elected a new president to lead the state’s largest Ag organization.

Hans McPherson, a farmer and ranchers from Stevensville, MT who has served as the organization’s vice president for the past several years was elected unanimously.

After the vote, he talked with the Northern Ag Network’s Russell Nemetz about his new leadership position.

McPherson succeeds long-time Montana Farm Bureau Federation president Bob Hanson of White Sulphur Springs who decided not to see re-election this year.

The convention concludes Wednesday.
