Montana Farmers Union’s Women’s Conference at Fairmont begins Friday

by Colton Young

Members of the media are invited to join us for Montana Farmers Union’s Women’s Conference to be held this Friday, Feb.7, through Sunday, Feb. 9, at Fairmont Hot Springs.

The event brings together women for several days focused on enriching and building community and features a keynote address by April Martin, as well as several interactive workshops and plenty of time to visit and learn about agriculture and rural communities.

Martin is the director/effector of the Wildrose Center and is a firm believer in the power of women and community. She leads programming aimed to inspire and support all on this journey called life. She now raises fat, happy cows where she was raised on her tribal homelands in southeast Montana. She also acts as an ambassador of Native culture.

Conference Highlights include Martin’s address Saturday evening, sessions about phone photography for food products, burnout and stress management, tractor maintenance, Far Out & Waiting workshop, understanding farm economics, and more.

Please join us for any of the speakers/events you feel your readers/viewers/listeners would have the most interest in!
