Montana Meat Company has received a $75,000 state grant to create jobs, according to a report by NBC Montana.
The Bozeman-based company, a collaborative of livestock producers, processors and purveyors, received the grant money after promising to create as many as 10 full-time jobs. The company was created by a group of ranchers who wanted to produce a local grassfed product that includes beef, pork and lamb for a market premium.
The award is funded by the Montana Department of Commerce under their job creation program.
