The Montana Running Ranchers are headed back to the “Mother of All Relays” this week to compete in the 200-mile Hood to Coast Relay.
Members of the team say they are thrilled to be returning to engage consumers in the Portland, OR area about beef’s positive message and to help raise funds to fight cancer and support cancer research. Last year the race raised $500,000 for the American Cancer Society!
Rich Roth is with the IX Ranch from Big Sandy, MT and is one of this year’s runners and talked with Russell Nemetz this week about the race.
Portland is ranked the number one vegetarian city in North America and Rich explains what it will be like to showcase beef there this weekend.
In addition to promoting the beef industry at this year’s 200-mile Hood to Coast Relay, the Montana Running Ranchers will wear the Beef Industry’s “Power of Protein” jerseys.
This week team member Amber Nordahl from Molt, MT joined Russell on television to share her excitement on being named one of the new team members this year.
