Last week, the House Natural Resources Committee unanimously approved, with favorable recommendation, a Resolution of Inquiry that would require the Department of Interior to turn over to Congress all missing pages and related documents of an “internal memo” detailing plans to potentially designate 13 million acres of new National Monuments in the West.
The Resolution of Inquiry, H.R. 1406, was introduced by Ranking Member Doc Hastings and National Parks, Forest and Public Lands Subcommittee Ranking Member Rob Bishop.
For background on this leaked memo, see “More National Monuments Planned For The West.”
