Started in 1990, this year’s “Montana Bale Trail” attracted over 6,000 people to the rural communities of Hobson, Utica, and Windham. The friendly but often highly competitive contest offered up a feast for passerby’s eyes with 54 hay sculptures in total lining the highway. Along with attracting hundreds of vehicles, they also welcomed the crew from the national television show “Small Town, Big Deal.”
The program that they produced from our little festival will air on RFD-TV tonight (Thursday). Haylie Shipp, a judge at this year’s event, may or may not make a cameo appearance! For channel and time information, visit their website.
