Old Mil Light Ranch Rodeo, Glasgow MT

by

Glasgow, MT–There's rodeo action and then there is ranch rodeo action, Glasgow's Old Mil Light Ranch Rodeo August 1 at the Valley County Fairgrounds kicking off at 4 p.m.

Events that simulate work on the range highlight the capabilities of this region's cowboys and cowgirls. Teams compete in Ranch Bronc Riding, Wild Cow Milking, Team Doctoring, Team Branding and Team Trailering.

Spectators can participate in the Calcutta prior to the rodeo to bid on who they think will win. This ranch rodeo is held in conjunction with the Northeast Montana Fair.

The winning team from this ranch rodeo will be qualified to compete in the NILE Ranch Rodeo Finals Oct. 14 during Rancher's Day at the NILE. This is a big incentive for many of the competitors because the venue is large, indoor, and has instant replay on big screens. More enticingly, the winner from the NILE Ranch Rodeo is eligible to compete at the Working Ranch Cowboys Association World Championship Ranch Rodeo in Amarillo, Texas.

The NILE is proud to have the Glasgow Old Mil Light Ranch Rodeo as one of sanctioning partner because they too work to preserve and embrace the western lifestyle.
