Registration Open for Montana Stockgrowers Foundation TBone Classic Gala Dinner and Golf Tournament

by Colton Young

The Montana Stockgrowers Foundation (MSF) invites golf enthusiasts, businesses, and supporters of Montana agriculture to register for the 16th Annual TBone Classic Gala Dinner and Golf Tournament, set for August 12–13, 2026, at Briarwood Golf Course in Billings.

This signature fundraising event brings together Montana’s ranching community and partners from across the state’s business and industry sectors for two days of networking, friendly competition, and support of MSF’s mission, to invest in Montana’s ranching community through leadership, education, and conservation.

Registration is $750 per team, individual registration is also available, and includes green fees, cart, and all meals throughout the event. Mulligans are available for purchase at $10 each. For those who wish to participate in the evening festivities only, individual Gala Dinner tickets are available for $50.

“The TBone Classic is more than just a golf tournament—it’s an investment in the future of Montana agriculture,” said MSF Chairman, Ty McDonald. “The partnerships formed and strengthened here directly support programs that benefit ranching families, youth, and rural communities across the state.”

The event will kick off on Wednesday, August 12, with the gala dinner and calcutta auction. Attendees can enjoy an evening of great food, networking, and excitement as teams are auctioned off in a lively, fast-paced setting. The calcutta auction allows participants to bid on teams they believe will perform well in the tournament, with winnings distributed among top finishers. This year’s Calcutta payout includes 30 percent to the purchaser of the first place team, 10 percent to second place, five percent to third place, and five percent to the tenth place team, while the remaining 50 percent supports Montana Stockgrowers Foundation.

The golf scramble will take place on Thursday, August 13 and will conclude with an awards ceremony recognizing top teams and participants.

Proceeds from the event help fund Montana Stockgrowers Foundation initiatives, including educational programs, leadership development, and efforts that promote and preserve Montana’s ranching heritage.

Spots for teams and dinner attendees are limited, and early registration is encouraged.
