Should MT’s DSA be Expanded?

The Montana Board of Livestock will hold their May meeting Monday, May 16 in Helena.

Christian Mackay, Executive Officer for the Montana Department of Livestock, tells us that they will be reviewing the identification requirements from other states for cattle in Montana’s Designated Surveillance Area (DSA).  They will also be looking at data from the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Park’s brucellosis testing project to assess the possibility of expanding the DSA.
