Wolves Taken Day 1 of WY Wolf Hunting Season

by

According to Q2 News in Billings, Monday marked a historic day for the state of Wyoming.  Not only were Endangered Species Act protections removed from the predator, but it also marked opening day of gray wolf hunting season in the state.

It was a successful day one.  As of 4 p.m. last night, two wolves had been taken by hunters.  According to Q2, this means 50 more wolves can be hunted between now and December to meet the 52-wolf quota.
