Wyoming Board of Agriculture to Meet at Wyoming State Fair
CHEYENNE (August 10, 2015) – The Wyoming Board of Agriculture will meet in Douglas, WY at the Wyoming State Fair in McKibben Cafeteria on August 14, 2015. Following the Board of Agriculture meeting, the Board will take part a tree dedication on the Wyoming State Fairgrounds.
The Wyoming Board of Agriculture will meet from 8:30 a.m. and will adjourn at 2:30 p.m. on August 14, 2015. During the meeting, the Board will hear from the State Fair Advisory Board, review Water Quality Final Reports and Criteria Changes, receive an update on RHAP and the program, address the Teton County Conservation District appointment/resignation, and receive reports from the WDA summer interns. Along with this, they will hear updates from the Wyoming Livestock Board, Farm Service Agency, Wyoming Game and Fish, other important issues and handle any other business of the board. There will be a chance for public comment during the meeting.
The Board of Agriculture enforces the rules and regulations of the Wyoming Department of Agriculture. Seven board members are appointed by the governor for six-year terms to represent geographical areas of the state. Board members include: Jana Ginter, District 1; Jim Rogers, District 2; Shaun Sims, District 3; John Moore, District 4; Alison Lass, District 5; Bryan Brost, District 6; and Kevin Schieffer., District 7. Youth Board Members include: Kendall Roberts, Southeast; Richard Schlenker, Northwest; John Hansen, Southwest; and Cameron Smith, Northeast.
