USDA Announces January 23 Deadline for Regional Conservation Partnership Programs (RCPP) Sign Up

by Colton Young

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Wyoming announces a Jan. 23, 2026, batching deadline for the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP). This batching date ensures producers have a clear, consistent timeline for participating in RCPP.

“The NRCS team continues its commitment to Wyoming’ producers — advancing conservation, strengthening service delivery, and keeping our promise to the men and women who feed and fuel our nation,” said Wyoming NRCS State Conservationist Jackie Byam.

NRCS programs are continuous sign-up programs, but due to the government shutdown, the agency is implementing a batching period to ensure producers have access to funding and support.

Sign up includes the following opportunities:

  • RCPP
    • Upper Colorado River – Yampa & Little Snake Basins
      • Land Management Agreements
    • Securing the Grass Highways for Wyoming Migrations II
      • Conservation Easements and Land Management Agreements
    • Popo Agie River Watershed Health
      • Land Management Agreements
    • Wyoming Upper Colorado River Basin Water Efficiency and Conservation Projects
  • Land Management Agreements
  • Promoting Landscape Resilience and Protecting Migration Corridors in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem
    • Conservation Easements
