Registrations are still flowing in for the American Sheep Industry Association Convention being held in Scottsdale Jan. 27-30. All registration documents can be found at www.sheepusa.org/About_Events_Convention.
As the details of the 2016 American Sheep Industry Association Convention are firming up, there have been a couple changes to the schedule that could impact travel plans for attendees.
Western Range Association Meeting – The meeting of the Western Range Association's board has been moved from Wednesday, Jan. 27, to Thursday, Jan. 28. The meeting will begin with breakfast at 7 a.m. and will conclude by 5 p.m. The change will allow Western Range board members to participate in the Industry Tour on Wednesday, Jan. 27, if they so choose.
Young Entrepreneurs Meeting – Instead of starting the Young Entrepreneur meeting at noon on Friday, Jan. 29, the time has been moved up to 10:30 a.m. This change allows for introductions prior to joining the larger group for lunch while keeping the afternoon session open for speakers.
Board of Director's Informational Session – The list of speakers confirmed for the Friday BOD session is quite impressive. Representatives from the U.S. Department of Labor will discuss the new H-2A sheepherder regulations and a subject-matter expert on the new federal veterinary feed directive have been slotted into this Friday afternoon session. USDA Undersecretary for Marketing and Regulatory Programs Edward Avalos will also address the attendees.
As other changes are identified, they will be made available at www.sheepusa.org/About_Events_Convention.
