BLM Resource Advisory Council to meet in Malta
(HAVRE, Mont.) – The Bureau of Land Management Central Montana Resource Advisory Council will meet Oct. 12-13, in the Great Northern Hotel & Steakhouse, 2 S. 1st St. E. Malta, Montana.
During the meetings the council is scheduled to participate in, discuss and act upon a number of BLM related topics and activities. There will be a roundtable discussion among council members and the BLM, a District Manager’s update and presentations on current resource management issues.
The meeting is open to the public and the public comment period is scheduled for 12:30-1 p.m., Oct. 12. Interested parties may make oral statements before the council or file written statements for the council to consider. Depending on the number of people who wish to make comments, a per-person time limit may be established.
The purpose of the RAC is to advise the Secretary of Interior, through the BLM, on a variety of issues associated with public land management. The 15-member RAC includes individuals who have expertise or education in the planning and management of public lands and resources.
