The following is an update from Montana State Veternarian Dr. Marty Zaluski:
In March of this year, Wyoming reported the finding of two seropositive elk well outside of Wyoming’s DSA. The positives were harvested in fall of 2012 and included one male and one female as reported here. As a result of this finding, Wyoming ramped up hunter surveillance in this area this hunting season, and unfortunately found an additional positive female elk reported in late November here.
