Combat Veterans, Wild Horses and MSU Equine Come Together

by

Montana State University’s equine program has created a reputation for the quality learning environment they foster for horses and students alike. They are also doing their part to help both combat veterans and wild horses.

MSU equine students are working with wild horses that will one day be a part of the Heroes and Horses three phase process experiential learning program for combat veterans. Heroes and Horses inspire veterans to move beyond the difficulties experienced from years of war, towards a life of restoration and hope, with the use of horses.

After the MSU equine students and the Hero’s and Horses crew complete the 500 mile pack trip in the Southwest, these wild horses will be integrated into the  Heroes and Horses herd and utilized in their 3 phase 2017 program beginning in June 2017.
