The latest Food Demand Survey results from Oklahoma State University show consumers expect to buy less beef and pork and more chicken in the coming months as they anticipate higher meat prices.
As of mid-May, food-grocery expenses are $96.34, which is a 5.08{0a3336b3da8cf935de4f3eb78fe29508c4b8b5ebd27d01af2d815614325d533e} increase from April. Food consumed away from home is $50.15, which is a 10.05{0a3336b3da8cf935de4f3eb78fe29508c4b8b5ebd27d01af2d815614325d533e} increase from April.
