University of Wyoming 3rd Annual High Altitude Bull Test & Sale

The University of Wyoming High Altitude Bull Test & Sale returns for its third year, offering a performance-tested, PAP-tested set of bulls for cow-calf producers across the region. Join us Friday, March 21, 2025, at the UW Laramie Research and Extension Center, Cliff & Martha Hansen Teaching Arena in Laramie, WY, 470 Hwy 230, Laramie, WY 82070

Schedule of Events:
– 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Bull Preview
– 10:00 AM – 11:10 AM | Educational Program
Managing Pre-Breeding Nutrition in the Cow Herd – Clay Bedke, NMSU
High Altitude, High Stakes: What’s Ahead for the Beef Market? – Rob Ziegler, UW
– 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM | Lunch
– 1:00 PM | Bull Sale Begins

Sale Details:

– Bulls were PAP-tested after 45 days, with only those meeting altitude requirements remaining in the sale.
– Feed efficiency tested for 70 days to ensure long-term performance.
– Bulls can be picked up immediately after the sale or housed at UW until April 15th at no charge (feed/yardage applies after).
