PHOTO OF HILGER HUNTING CABIN WITH GAME AND GUNS
As hunting season approaches, this photo shows how it was done in the days when game was taken where and when you could find it. This photo was captured in front of what Joe Hilger called “Buffalo Bill Cabin” on his ranch just north of Helena in the 1890s. Joe Hilger is the man on the right. Today most hunters would be happy to get just one of the trophies that are on display here.
