MSU Extension offers natural resource workshop for landowners Aug. 4

BOZEMAN – Montana State University Extension in Gallatin County is offering private landowners an evening workshop on managing the natural resources of property in Big Sky. The workshop will be held Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 6-8 p.m. at the Jack Creek Preserve in Big Sky. 

Speakers include representatives from Gallatin/Big Sky Noxious Weed Committee, FireSafe Montana and Montana State University Extension in Gallatin County. The two-hour workshop is devoted to providing participants the basic knowledge and skills needed to understand the natural resources on their property. By the end of this workshop each participant will have a foundation to develop achievable property goals. Topics including prioritizing goals, maintaining healthy forests, controlling noxious weeds and planning for wildfire safety. 

The free workshop is limited to 30 participants, with a minimum of 10. RSVP is required by Wednesday, July 29.
