Omnibus Lands Bill Introduced in Senate

During this conventions season, Northern Ag Network has been continuously crossing paths with Dustin Van Liew, Executive Director of the Public Lands Council.  While Dustin has been in our region, he always has one ear leaned towards happenings in Washington, D.C.  

Last week he had varied opinions on whether an omnibus lands bill would be introduced until that introduction took place on Friday.

This 1,003 page bill was given the name of “America’s Great Outdoors Act of 2010.” 

Dustin outlined one very worrisome piece of legislation within the bill.

With so much uncertain in Washington D.C. from one minute to the next during this Lame Duck session, Dustin couldn’t say whether or not the omnibus lands bill would come to a vote.
