There’s One in Every Family

by

Every family has that one person who seems to bring home every stray or needy animal they come across but it takes a unique person to bring home two wolf pups. This photograph shows Jetta Hamilton and her wolves Weecharpee and Tussa at her ranch near Knowlton in eastern Montana.

Maybe it was a compassionate heart that led these two wolf pups into Jetta's hands but one thing is for certain she must have been immensely comfortable with them to keep them this close to her home. In recent years there have been many people in the U.S. that keep strange pets such as monkeys and tigers but I'm sure in 1908 when this photograph was taken the number of people who kept pet wolves was minuscule.
