Keane farms with his father-in-law on a 4th generation homestead near Loma, Montana. With a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Northwestern in Saint Paul and a background in sales, Nathan brings this experience to the family farm as it has transitioned from primarily winter and spring wheat crops to growing a host of alternative crops. He and his wife, Dianna, have three young children.

Over the years, while at Montana Grain Growers Association, Keane has served as a board member, chaired the Domestic Policy Committee and chaired the 2022 Annual Convention & Trade Show. He has been a strong leader in shaping policy and advocating for farmers during his time as an officer at Montana Grain Growers Association.

Montana Grain Growers Association proudly nominated Past President Nathan Keane as Secretary of the National Association of Wheat Growers. “It’s been an honor working with Nathan over the last several years. We are proud to see him step into this leadership opportunity with the National Association of Wheat Growers!” Montana Grain Growers Association President Heilig said. “As a Montanan, we are passionate about advocating for farmers and in a role like this, Nathan will be able to work with farmers all across the United States.” said Heilig.
