For 50 years the Northern Invitational Livestock Exposition has showcased the regions advanced livestock industry and promoted youth in agriculture. The NILE is deeply rooted in preserving western heritage and supporting agriculture education.
Every year the NILE highlights some of the areas best and most advanced livestock genetics filling up the 77,400 square foot expo center with 14 different cattle breeds. One of the NILE's most popular programs is the Merit Heifer Program which is aimed at helping youth in agriculture start their own cattle herd.
Since the NILE rodeo is one of the first rodeos of the qualifying year it frequently showcases many of the top contestants in the PRCA. Added in 2006 the Ranch Rodeo has become a crowd favorite with events such as wild cow milking, team trailering and team doctoring.
