OMAHA (DTN) — As far as USDA's weekly Crop Progress report is concerned, the nation's corn harvest and rice harvest are complete and no longer included on the weekly tables.
Soybean harvest is 96{8a1275384cb93b18aa3d41af404144e37302a793dec468d70d54c97b65cfac05} complete as of Nov. 11, compared to 95{8a1275384cb93b18aa3d41af404144e37302a793dec468d70d54c97b65cfac05} last year and a 93{8a1275384cb93b18aa3d41af404144e37302a793dec468d70d54c97b65cfac05} five-year average.
Winter wheat planting is nearly finished at 95{8a1275384cb93b18aa3d41af404144e37302a793dec468d70d54c97b65cfac05}, compared to 95{8a1275384cb93b18aa3d41af404144e37302a793dec468d70d54c97b65cfac05} last year and a 94{8a1275384cb93b18aa3d41af404144e37302a793dec468d70d54c97b65cfac05} average. Emergence is lagging slightly at 79{8a1275384cb93b18aa3d41af404144e37302a793dec468d70d54c97b65cfac05}, compared to 81{8a1275384cb93b18aa3d41af404144e37302a793dec468d70d54c97b65cfac05} last year and an 81{8a1275384cb93b18aa3d41af404144e37302a793dec468d70d54c97b65cfac05} five-year average.
Winter wheat conditions worsened somewhat in the last week, increasing to 22{8a1275384cb93b18aa3d41af404144e37302a793dec468d70d54c97b65cfac05} poor to very poor, compared to 19{8a1275384cb93b18aa3d41af404144e37302a793dec468d70d54c97b65cfac05} last week. However, wheat condition ratings at this time of year have very little correlation to final yields.
