The following story is from the Associated Press:
The Bureau of Land Management will hold a streamlined wild horse adoption on Jan. 29 in Rock Springs.
The BLM says nearly 700 untrained geldings and mares gathered from a roundup in November in southwest Wyoming will be available for adoption.
The agency says anyone qualified to adopt a wild horse will be able to fill out the application, be approved and take their animal home the same day.
Adoptions will be on a first come, first served basis, by noncompetitive bid. All animals will be available for $125.
