Yellowstone Bison Allowed in MT Year-Round?

The Montana Board of Livestock began its July meeting on Monday afternoon.  The diverse agenda (SEE IT HERE) contains action items from brucellosis to brands to garbage feeding.  One item that stands out is a discussion on year-round of Yellowstone National Park bison in the western part of Montana.

Christian Mackay, Montana Department of Livestock Executive Officer, told us more about that discussion heading into the meeting.

Christian says they’re looking at the Horse Butte area in the western management area.
