Low Stress for Safety and Success: Cattle handling & facility evaluation workshop @ Beresford

SDSU Extension will host the Low Stress for Safety and Success cattle handling and facility evaluation workshop on February 24, 2017 at the South Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station Southeast Research Farm (29974 University Road, Beresford, SD 57004).

 

“These workshops provide a great opportunity to learn tips on minimizing cattle stress to maximize performance, and experience different handling facility designs,” said Heidi Carroll, SDSU Extension Livestock Stewardship Associate. The workshop will cover hands-on cattle handling, facility evaluations, the impact of handling on cattle performance, and handler and cattle safety.

Online Registration

If participants register by Feb. 13, 2016 the event cost is $45/person with a $10 discount for additional individuals from same operation. After Feb. 13, registration is $50.
