The Fish and Wildlife Service has proposed a Federal Reserved Water Right for the CMR Refuge for all water remaining in streams that flow onto the CMR. Over 150 Montana streams and creeks would be affected.
According to the Billings Gazette, two public workshops have been set up to discuss the proposal. The first, at the Yogo Inn in Lewistown, begins at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13. The second will start at 10 a.m. at the Fort Peck Visitor Center on Tuesday, February 14.
